Animal Welfare Policy

Our approach to animal welfare is guided by the principles of the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), which promotes humane animal treatment and responsible land management.

We aim to source RWS-certified wool whenever possible, as it helps ensure:

  • Animals are treated with care by trained handlers
  • They have access to food, water, shelter, and veterinary care
  • Their well-being is regularly monitored
  • They can move freely and express natural behaviors

When RWS-certified wool is not available, we require documented assurance that mulesing has not taken place. This is a non-negotiable condition in our sourcing practices and reflects our commitment to improved animal welfare.

Material Guidelines

Wool
We aim to use wool certified by the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) whenever possible. This certification supports better animal welfare and responsible land management.

When certified wool is not available, our minimum requirement is that the wool is sourced without mulesing.

Mulesing
We do not accept wool sourced through mulesing or other harmful practices involving merino sheep.

Angora
We do not use angora in our products due to concerns about animal welfare during its production.

Down and Feather
We do not use down or feathers in our products.

Leather and Animal Skins
We do not use leather or animal skins in our collections.

Fur
We do not use animal fur in our products.

Exotic Skins and Endangered Species
We do not use materials derived from exotic animals or any species classified as endangered.
